In the context of the symposium “The Future of Agriculture – Scenarios, Concepts, Visions”, organized by the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ)” you are invited to imagine the agricultural world in four decades time and take a glimpse into provocative and inspiring future scenarios. In a very brief survey you will meet three potential agricultural characters, and you’ll explore the scenarios for the future of farming.

The future is rooted in the present, so all three scenarios reflect current practice. However, they also dare to look beyond the framework of typical planning cycles and the focus of the scenarios is explicitly global.

Please vote for the scenario you feel is most realistic rather than most desirable! These individual scenarios are not, of course, intended to be universally applicable.
