Borlaug was passionate about and dedicated to “inspiring the next generation.” He never missed an opportunity to talk to children and youth about how they could make a difference in the lives of the world’s poor and hungry. He guided and mentored many of today’s leading international scientists, policy experts, and extension workers. Even though he is gone, you can help continue Norman Borlaug’s vision by nominating up-and-coming scientists and extension professionals for this special honor. The “Borlaug Field Award” is intended to uphold his legacy and inspire the next generation of food and agriculture researchers to pursue ever-ambitious goals to ensure food security for all.
