The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) is calling for applications for the John Dillon Memorial Fellowship.
This fellowship provides a career development opportunity in Australia for outstanding mid-career agricultural scientists and economists from ACIAR partner countries. The aim is to develop leadership skills in the area of agricultural research management, agricultural policy and/or extension technologies through exposure to Australian agriculture across a range of best practice organisations.
The fellowship visit will be for a period of 5-6 weeks and consists of participation in formal research management training courses followed by placement at Australian organisations. The visit will take place in February/March 2015.
Applicants must be associated with ACIAR bilateral projects that are either active or have been completed in the last two years. The ideal person would be a little more senior than those we nominate for John Allwright Fellowships, but former JAFS are eligible to apply.
Selection of applicants will be made by the Training Committee, but following selection we will again involve the relevant RPMs closely in the design of the program.
Applicants must complete registration by the closing date of 31 August 2014.
Please forward application forms and referee reports to johndillon@aciar.gov.au or by fax to +61 2 6217 0501.
