Northwest Vietnam situation analysis starting point for Humidtropics research in Central Mekong
The International Livestock Research Institute recently published a ‘situational analysis of agricultural production and marketing, and natural resources management systems in northwest Vietnam’ for the Humidtropics CGIAR research program. It is a starting point for the program’s work in one of the four geographical ‘Action Area Flagships’ where innovations are tested to meet the challenges of stakeholders. It paints a comprehensive and broad picture of the current systems that are key to tackling the problems faced in the target field sites. Continue reading

Stakeholders involved in Humidtropics platforms from Africa, Asia, and Central America came together for the Humidtropics Capacity Development workshops held between April 29 and May 2, 2014, in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshops covered different approaches to agricultural innovation and were measurably successful in increasing knowledge and changing attitudes. Understanding, facilitating and monitoring agricultural innovation processes: Humidtropics holds capacity development workshop in Nairobi
From 29 April to 2 May 2014, the Humidtropics CGIAR research program held a capacity development workshop in Nairobi. The main topics of discussion were agricultural innovation systems, design and implementation of multi-stakeholder platforms (MSP), capturing knowledge and learning in MSPs, and reflexive monitoring of MSPs.
